Designed for self-teaching, the Causes of Racial Inequity in Healthcare courseallows you to go through the material at your own pace. In this course, you willexplore the multiple dimensions of access to care, and how various dimensionsperpetuate racial inequities in care. You will also discuss the historical backdrop ofmistreatment in healthcare settings that remains pervasive among racial groups.And finally, you will unpack implicit bias and how these biases influence diagnosisand treatment patterns among different racial groups. The course can becompleted in a one-week period. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all pre-clinical (Year 1 and Year 2) coursework and Year 3 core requirements.
