Results and Data: 2023 Main Residency Match: This report contains statistical tables and graphs for the Main Residency Match® and lists by state and  sponsoring institution every participating program, the number of positions offered, and the number filled. SOAP® data also are presented.

2024 Match Results by State, Specialty, and Applicant Type: This report includes the numbers of positions offered and filled by state, specialty, and applicant type for the 2023 Main Residency Match.

Program Results 2020-2024: This report includes the numbers of positions offered and filled for all programs participating in the Main Residency Match for the five-year period between 2019 and 2023.

Average Length of Rank Order List by Match Status: 2005-2024 Main Residency Match: This report presents the average length of the rank order lists (ROL) for filled and unfilled programs and matched and unmatched applicants across all applicant groups, including IMGs. The report also reflects on patterns in average ROL length and match outcomes with the pivot to virtual interviewing beginning in fall 2020.
