Description

This course is designed to afford students the time to carry out original biomedical research in laboratories offsite from Rocky Vista University's main campus. Students may choose to pursue research in any area of the biomedical sciences with approval given by the RVUCOM mentor serving as the advisor for the student. Students enrolled in this course will pay student fees and receive 12 credit hours/semester; tuition will be waived for the year. The student will be covered with liability insurance and workman's compensation insurance. Throughout the academic year the student will present research updates to the RVUCOM mentor and other faculty and students in quarterly seminars The student will also participate in RVUCOM's Annual Research Day and present to the Physician Scientist Honors Track program as a regular guest speaker.
