Description

The OPP III/IV courses build upon the foundation of the principles and philosophies of osteopathic medicine established during the OPP I/II courses. OPPIII and IV will expand the student?s osteopathic knowledge base through the application of new and previously learned techniques into the appropriate medical conditions of second year system courses. Each second year OPP course follows a template that coincides with the concurrent system course. An introductory lecture covering the osteopathic considerations relevant to each system is given during the first week of all system courses followed by interactive case presentations focused on osteopathic treatment of patients with diseases of the system. Didactic information for each system is summarized in an iClicker session to test the student?s knowledge acquisition.
