Description

Alternative medicine is a term that describes medical treatments that are used instead of traditional (mainstream) therapies. Some examples of alternative medicine include acupuncture, chiropractic medicine, energy therapies, magnetic field therapy, therapeutic touch, herbal medicine, and ayurvedic medicine. Pre-requisite: successful completion of all pre-clinical (Year 1 and Year II) coursework and passing score on COMLEX Level 1.
